DJ Name: Glenn Far
Name of my Shows: ZenTech and Flea Market
KVMR came into my life in 1994 when I was “hired” as a front desk receptionist and we’ve been together ever since! All the folks here including staff, volunteers and “The Community” immediately became family.
My broadcasting career began in 1995 substituting and engineering for other broadcasters including Dr. Jim Stratigakes, Jimma Abbott, Roy Ruff and others.
The Flea Market started sometime in 1996 and is still going strong today with the addition of Frank McClain as co-host in the summer of 2016!
In 1999 an idea started brewing for a talk show about computers and technology and consumer advocacy. After 1st asking the very busy Len Gorsky to co-host the proposed new show (he said no), I started asking around the community and was ultimately introduced to Paule Castro and ZenTech was born. I remember the big topic of concern was Y2K … what was going to happen when all the computers in the world changed over to the year 2000. Thankfully the Y2K scare was a dud. As we ushered in the 21st century there have been huge advances in technology and we’ve kept you informed and as up to date as possible for nearly 20 years now.
Over the years there have been some ups and downs in my life and I can tell you without a doubt, that all the concern, care, joy and love from all of you, have helped me become a better person!! THANK YOU ALL ?
