Long before I became hyphenated I had was drawn to the folk music world. The folk movement of the 60's and 70's that produced English favorites such as Fairport Convention, Pentangle, John Martyn, Nick Drake, Stephan Grossman, and Steeleye Span, as well as the Americans- Flying Burrito Brothers, Buffalo Springfield, David Grisman, and Leo Kottke- began my musical journey. Later, when I became half Irish, I started to explore the Celtic world of Altan, Capercaille, Sharon Shannon, and Kila. My love of these artists is still strong to this date and influences the selections that you might hear when you tune in on Sunday morning to Lunar Rotation.

It was some 15 years when I discovered KVMR as I traveled through the foothills heading toward the Bluegrass Festival. I was so impressed that KVMR broadcasted the entire event. Never before had I found a station that dedicated so much airtime for an event like this! One of the first things we did when my family moved to Grass Valley was to become a member of the station.
