The Support of the Homeless Community

Reinette Senum is a mover and a shaker in the Nevada City Council, and is ready to drill down on the real issue of homelessness. She has been a long time advocate and supporter for homeless people having a roof over their heads AND a life purpose.

Reinette is a City official charged with finding solutions to homelessness and she shares her experience observing people on Commercial Street in Nevada City, and you may be surprised with what she saw.

About the project:

A-Place-To-Call-Home
These stories "caught" by StoryCatchers, Betty Louise and Susan M. Davis, inspire inclusion and common humanity with homeless people and promote compassionate action with the community at large. Stories connect us to our humanity. The Humanities, Arts, and Media communicate Story. The result is cultural transformation. This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a partner of the NEH. Visit www.calhum.org.
