KVMR's 2019 Broadcaster Training Class

KVMR's next broadcaster training class will be held June 1st & 8th from 9:30am-3:30pm. Deadline to apply is Monday May 13th. Email completed applications to class@kvmr.org or drop it off in person at 120 Bridge Street Nevada City, CA.

Board Member Agreement

The KVMR Community Room at 120 Bridge Street, Nevada City, California, is available by reservation for not-for-profit meetings, classes, or other events as a community service for community groups. The Community Room is not to be used for events or meetings promoting products or services for personal profit.  Information on how to reserve KVMR's Community Room can be found in the following policy:

KVMR General Meetings:

General Meetings allow management and staff to inform broadcasters and volunteers of upcoming news and events, membership drive information, station policy and programming reminders and answering questions from broadcasters and the public, which is invited to these three sessions.     The December meeting is by invitation only and is a holiday party celebrating and honoring the station's volunteers and broadcasters.

All board meetings are open to the public and start at 6:30 in the KVMR Community Room.
The Communications Act Notice allows stations meetings to be closed for the following reasons: 

  1. matters concerning individual employees;
  2. proprietary information;
  3. litigation and other matters requiring confidential advice of counsel;
  4. commercial or financial information obtained from a person on a privileged or confidential basis; or
  5. purchase of property or services, if the premature disclosure of the transaction would compromise the station’s business interests. §396(k)(4)

The Act requires stations to document and make available to the public the specific reason(s) for closing a meeting within a reasonable time after the meeting. CPB also requires that the written statement be made available for inspection, either at the CSG recipient’s central office or posted on its station website, within 10 days after each closed meeting.

KVMR Board Committee meetings are held at KVMR's offices at 120 Bridge Street, Nevada City, and are open to the public.
