Every rock music fan knows about Pink Floyd's famous Dark Side of the Moon, one of the best selling albums of all time, but few are aware of the origins of the band, co-founded by a couple of architecture students at London Polytechnic Institute. Initially led by their their brilliant but mentally unstable guitarist Syd Barrett, the Floyd smashed through commercial barriers and produced some of the most experimental and free form psychedelic music to come out of the 1960's and 70's. On the next The Other Side, guest host Paul Berger presents: "Pink Floyd - A Journey to the Center of A Mind." Take a musical pilgrimage into Floyd's most daring and groundbreaking experimental music, which laid the foundation for their better known later works. Turn off your mind, relax and float downstream on the Other Side, Tuesday from 8 to 10pm, only on KVMR.
