King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's early work saw them primarily perform in a style that blended 1960s surf music, garage rock and psychedelic rock, they have more recently begun to experiment with a broader range of influences, including elements of film music, folk, jazz, soul, Krautrock and heavy metal.

Their eighth full-length album, 'Nonagon Infinity', released today April 29, 2016. Described by frontman Stu Mackenzie as a 'never-ending album', it features nine songs connected by musical motifs which flow 'seamlessly' into each other with the last track 'linking straight back into the top of the opener like a sonic mobius strip'.

Our blue planet is parched and cracks are forming underfoot and the sweat drips from our collective temple onto the citrine sand and a feathered doom encircles us from above and there's a pulsing in our breast telling us there ain't nothing any mere mortal can do when the sun retreats and blackness sets in.
