Arly Helm, MS, IBCLC, is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with Masters of Science in Nutrition and Food Science. As a Quaker, she has a passion for social and environmental justice, women's issues and peace. Fluent in Spanish, she subs on the Latin show, "South of the Border," on KVMR. She is also part of the KVMR outreach team. Arly's passions include mixed media art, photography, mandolin, and contradancing. She serves as the Pine Tree stage manager at KVMR's annual Celtic Faire. She is nutrition editor for the BriarPatch Community Market newsletter, where she served on the Board of Directors from 2001-2004. Arly is a joyful member of the women's Balkan choir, Podruzhki ("girlfriends" in Russian). Arly loves babies, dogs, and children; bugs, plants, and animals; museums, bicycling and traveling. She has spent time in the Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Guatemala, Italy, Germany, Scotland, England, Australia, Canada, and Mexico.
