The Zen Tech Hour
 |
| with Paul Castro & Glenn Far |
Alternate Mondays, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
 |
|
Computer & Internet technology demystified and brought down to Earth for your call ins and questions!
|
|
Where did we get the name Zen Tech from?
"Zen":
Offshoot of Mahayana Buddhism, self-contemplation, and intuition rather than through faith and devotion and that is practiced mainly in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and at KVMR every other Monday from 1-2PM PST.
Zen practitioners relish the incongruous, insoluble and ineffable. This means we can answer questions with better questions, like "where are computer cases usually beige?" or "Who really invented the mouse?"
The word Zen has common origins with the English word "Semantic" or "Meaning". We investigate what It All Means, what ever "It" may be on that particular show, whatever "All" means and whatever "Means" means
As for "Mahayana": it means "Big Vehicle", CF: Bolshevik: Zen tech: SUV of the mind.
Win a Chocolate Chip Cookie if this makes sense to you!
"Tech": "Formal Rather Than Practical". Really.
