
John grew up in the Seattle/Bellevue area where his first musical memories were listening to the Weavers and Harry Belafonte on his parents stereo. Folk music has been an important part of his life ever since. During his preteen and teen years he was there for the birth and explosion of rock and roll and you will find him occasionally filling in on the Rock and Roll Party and Rhythm and Blues Review.
John is currently retired after working 40 years in the field of Civil Engineering. primarily in Public Works Management and Traffic Engineering. He is a graduate of Stanford University and served in the Navy. While in the Navy he was assigned to Newfoundland where his twin daughters were born. You will frequently find the music of eastern Canada in his programming.
