"t.e. wolfe"
A Word In Edgewise - Alternate Sundays, 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Strange sonic tapestry of music and spoken word for the culturally marginalized elite.

t.e. wolfe, broadcaster wordsmith and poet Graduating by the skin of his teeth from both UC Davis and the KVMR Broadcaster Training Class in the futuristic-sounding year of 2000-with a Bachelors degree in both Communication and Political Science from one of the two institutions and an overblown sense of purpose from the other- "t.e. wolfe" went on to conquer both the late-night "red-eye-radio" world and the grueling graveyard shift of his local Chevron Foodmart, much to the dismay of friends and family. Having only recently completed a four-year stint on the City Council of his hometown-Colfax, CA-he was in no shape to take on anything more controversial than his television remote, and decided that life in the daylight hours was over-rated. Eventually he emerged from this emotional paralysis and has been doing better ever since, thanks for asking.

Soon after convincing the far more respectable Jenessa Peterson to vacate her position as host of the Radio Poets Society (in order to pursue an "education," ostensibly), "t.e." wrested control of the fan-favorite poetry show from the embattled legions of would-be hosts and began his arduous journey toward Total Domination of KVMR's airwaves. Granted, he has not exactly achieved this goal as of this writing and in fact isn't even hosting the poetry show anymore, thanks to losing a particularly violent round of "ro-sham-bo" to current host Roo Cantada. He has, however, managed to con his way into hosting A Word In Edgewise alternating Saturday mornings (or Friday nights, depending how you look at it) midnight-4 am. Technically speaking, that makes this particular grabbag of epi-clectic musical exploration, seditious spoken-word and sundry sonic shenanigans the very first show in KVMR's world-famous Saturday Americana line-up, much to the chagrin of all the good folk/bluegrass/hard-country/hippy country/doo-wop/bayou/deadhead broadcasters who follow him.

One doesn't have to be a night-owl or vampire to hear this mickey-mouse malcontent do his thing, but it helps. Two other opportunities exist for those with slightly less nocturnal lifestyles (i.e. those with "jobs").If live, improvisational comedy/satire is your thing, you can also check out his sideline operation, the Gas-Food-Theater radio show-featuring members of the "Gas-Food-Theater" comedy troupe from Auburn, CA-Sundays 10 pm-midnight, alternating with Joseph's This Night (newly renamed). If live-in-studio acoustic music and interviews with local musicians is more to your liking, then you'll be sure to catch the Local Yokel Showcase in the same time-slot (don't ask how he can do that, it's complicated and might blow your mind), featuring such local luminaries as Fresh Young Blood and Golden Shoulders.

Finally, after much back-stabbing and social climbing (and running unchallenged in the election), "t.e." managed to get himself on the Program Committee of KVMR, but refuses to elaborate on the mysterious and shady workings of that non-federal entity at this time. Unconfirmed rumor has it that "t.e. wolfe" will also be teaching the upcoming Broadcaster Training Class this May, and no, it's not a joke.

The chaotically meticulous and comfortingly caustic musings of this twisted chameleon can be found in the new-fangled "blogosphere" that all the kids are talking about these days, over at the cesspool of social misdirection called "myspace.com". Under the nom d'cyber "Rev. Reacharound" KVMR's black sheep champion extolls the virtues of paranoia and the vices of unfettered joy. If you think this "profile" is odd (and somewhat irritating) just wait til you read THAT stuff. Thank you for your attention; please go about your business and forget you ever read this.
