The new home for KVMR received its crowning jewel on Tuesday October 28th surrounded by a crowd of community members, community officials and KVMR broadcasters and staff. Everyone was so excited and cheered as the locally crafted "Antenna Tower" was lowered onto the building by an 80 ft. crane. The event went off without a hitch. While the tower does not function as a transmitting device, it is a symbol of independent community radio and is sure to become a local landmark. It was a beautiful, sunny morning bringing community together to celebrate the new home for KVMR and all the opportunities the new station will bring. There was music by the Buffalo Gals, and refreshments provided by Silk Road Soda. For more information and to support the project, please visit www.bridgestreetproject.org.
