Are you having unusual problems receiving KVMR?
Some of you might.
We want to give our loyal listeners and supporters advance word that there could be some forthcoming reception problems so you'll be ready to help us in return.
Radios in the Sacramento area may soon experience some new interference with our signal, especially north of state highway I-80, and even listeners close to our Banner Mountain transmitter may have problems as well.
It may not sound like another station but will probably sound like static or white noise, as if KVMR's signal is weaker.
It's important to report all instances of this interference so we may be able to take remedial measures because of possible interference from nearby stations.
Here's the information we'll need:your name, phone and/or email, location where you're hearing the interference, kind of radios affected, date and time of interference.
Please send that information via email to engineer@kvmr.org or call our front desk weekdays at (530) 265-9073, nights and weekends leave a message at (530) 265-9073, extension 209. You can also mail the reception information to Engineer, KVMR Radio, 401 Spring Street, Nevada City CA 95959.
Help KVMR protect our signal so we can keep creative community radio flowing your way.
Please remember....If you happen to lose KVMR reception, even temporarily, you can hear us online at our webcast by clicking the Listen Live button at the top of this page.
