Oldies

Standards

"Standards" features music written by the likes of Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Ellington, and more, that set the bar (i.e. created standards) for melody and lyrics and which has come to be known as the Great American Songbook.
Since these songs have been covered by almost everyone, your host Dave Olsen will be featuring a wide variety of artists running the gamut from Julie London to Cyndi Lauper to Robert Palmer to Boz Scaggs and beyond.
In other words, there will be some surprises.

Color Radio

The best of R+B, Doo Wop and rock and roll is played in an upbeat style, reminiscent of the old radio shows of the 50's and 60's, complete with jingles and a tribute to the Color Radio format. Plan to hear saxophones blaring, guitars screaming, and even an occasional ballad.

Sometimes interesting characters, like Dead Elvis, Swami Tommy, and Duck L'Orange come to visit the show.
