Savages - Adore Life

Savages are a London-based post-punk revival rock band, formed in 2011. Their debut album, Silence Yourself, reached number 19 in the UK Albums Chart in May 2013. The new album is called Adore Life and is coming out January 22 on Matador. I found this manifesto at the label’s website.

“It’s about change and the power to change. It’s about metamorphosis and evolution. It’s about sticking to your guns and toughing it out. It’s about now, not tomorrow. It’s about recognizing your potential. It’s about self-doubt and inaction.

It’s about you. It’s about me. It’s about you and me and the others. It’s about the choices we make. It’s about finding the poetry and avoiding the cliché. It’s about being the solution, not the problem. It’s about showing weakness to be strong. It’s about digging through your dirt to look for diamonds.

It's about claiming your right to think unacceptable thoughts. It’s about boredom and the things we do to drive it away. It’s about being on your own so you can be with people. It’s about knowing what it means to be human and what it might mean one day. It’s about the parts and the sum of the parts.

It's about the music and the message: together, one and the same. It’s about bass, guitars, drums, and vocals. It’s about opening-out and never, ever dying.

But most of all it’s about love, every kind of love. Love is the answer.”

White Denim - Stiff

White Denim is a four-piece rock band from Austin, Texas. Their music is influenced by dub, psychedelic rock, blues, punk rock, progressive rock, soul, jazz, experimental rock with home-based recording, jamming approach, intense looping work and unusual song structures. White Denim's Austin Jenkins and Josh Block have championed and played with nostalgic Texan soul singer Leon Bridges since late 2014 having been introduced to him at a bar in Fort Worth. The trio plan to tour together until Jenkins and Block resume work with White Denim.

On 7 January 2016, White Denim announced new album 'Stiff' will be released on 25 March 2016 via Downtown/Sony Red, with track 'Holda You (I'm Psycho)' shared on their Soundcloud.

Brazilian Girls - The Critic (Single)

Brazilian Girls is a band from New York City known for their eclectic blend of electronic dance music with musical styles as diverse as tango, chanson, house, reggae and lounge (but no Brazilian rhythms at all).None of the members are actually from Brazil and the only female in the band is Sabina Sciubba.

The band is in the studio finishing up a new album that will be released on Yebo Records.

Animal Collective - Painting With

Animal Collective is an American experimental pop group formed in Baltimore, Maryland in 1999. The band's music is characterized by studio experimentation, vocal harmonies, and an exploration of various genres which include freak folk, noise rock, ambient drone, and psychedelia.

Painting With is the upcoming tenth studio album by American

experimental pop group Animal Collective, to be released on February 19, 2016. The album is a follow-up to Centipede Hz (2012), and features contributions from John Cale and Colin Stetson.[1] One single has been issued from the album, "FloriDada", released on November 30, 2015.

"FloriDada" is a song by Animal Collective, released as the first single from their upcoming 2016 album Painting With. It was released on November 30, 2015 by Domino Records.[1] Avey Tare explained that the song was "sort of inspired by hating on people from Florida. I was driving in L.A. and flipping through the radio dial and came across a morning radio show where they're just talking all the time. They had a segment called, like, 'Dumb Things People Are Doing In Florida.' It kind of bothered me. ... Everybody—they kind of agree that Florida's such a weird place, know what I mean? But in a way, that's part of the charm of it."

Todd's Two Too! airs Friday mornings 8:30-9:00.
