Musings from the other side… "Waukesha Chowder and Marching Society"

Guest editorial...
The following manifesto was written by Dagobart D. Runes, an occasional guest host on The Other Side (his past shows can be found at the end of this Blog below)

Waukesha Chowder and Marching Society

Place this manifesto on your window! Our calling has been predestined! We are anathema to all that is trivial and mundane!
We are the Waukesha Chowder and Marching Society! We delve in esoteric learning and practice strange rituals in isolated places!

But, our main cause as a society is to end all the vapidness and banalities that have become so characteristic of American popular culture! We dedicate ourselves to unearthing and reviving old and new musical customs and traditions that have been either discarded or outright ignored by the masses. It is our hope, that we can offer an alternative to the drudgery and dismal degradation that has caused all this subterfuge in this nation of ours! Join us and be a part of this awareness of processes seen and unseen, heard but not heard, known but equally unknown!

We will stop at nothing to invoke and convey this need for exploration and free inquiry!
Many speak of freedom! Many claim to be free! Hah!
But the most important freedom of all, that which all other freedoms stem from and is rarely ever mentioned, is the freedom of thought!
How thoughtlessness has become so rampant is easy to see why! We wash our shoes and polish our faces for this is the time of nature unveiled!

We wear our transparent armor as we head toward and within subjective glimpses of tomorrow and beyond! Let us now join together and offer a silent ceremonial hymn to our society. This world will change if it wants to or not! We will thrive and rise up triumphantly!
Let us not be held back or shoved forward by those who are wolves in sheepskin clothing. Our society is the receptor of many truths!

Most important of all, we shall devolve and conquer! Remember Emperor Norton! Ahem!
